Graduating from the University of Toledo with a post-graduate PMHNP certificate. Darla obtained her Masters’s in Nursing from UT prior to enrolling in the PMHNP program. She is passionate about providing quality and comprehensive care to her patients while …developing a therapeutic relationship with each individual. Using evidence-based practices in addition to clinical experience, Darla will provide each patient with an individualized treatment plan derived from patient history and input; tailored to their specific needs and goals. Darla believes in comprehensive and quality healthcare. To facilitate the best treatment outcomes for her patients, she advocates for medication management combined with psychotherapy as a highly effective approach in treating mental health disorders. In terms of medication management, Darla prescribes conservatively to avoid any unnecessary side effects that an individual may experience from a medication. She will work closely with the treatment team to ensure every patient case is handled appropriately and that communication amongst one another is unfragmented. This approach will promote optimal patient outcomes and treatment, which are Darla’s top priorities for each of her patients. “Whether you have struggled with a mental health disorder in the past or this is a new experience for you, please reach out and allow me to assist in providing you with the necessary care to overcome these barriers,” says Darla. ‘Together, we can work to optimize your mental health and regain your life. You are not alone, and I am here to help.”
