Dr. Hornback is a board-certified radiation oncologist and is the medical director of the radiation oncology program at Memorial Hospital.
After receiving his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine, he interned at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis and completed his residency in radiation oncology at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. Hornback moved to South Bend in 1992 where he joined Radiology, Inc. and began his practice at Memorial Hospital.
In 2009, Dr. Hornback joined Memorial Medical Group, which is now Beacon Medical Group. Dr. Hornback specializes in high and low dose rate brachytherapy and prostate seed implants. In fact, he has the most clinical experience in permanent seed implant for prostate cancer in our region. He has a special interest in treating patients with prostate, breast, gynecologic, lung and colorectal cancer. He has experience in special radiation procedures including stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body …radiotherapy. Dr. Hornback has extensive clinical research experience and maintains memberships in a number of professional associations, including the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncologists.
