David A. Gehret, M.D., was born and raised in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Florida Medical School and completed medical internship and neurology residency at UCLA/WVAH Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Academy of Neurology and Psychiatry with added subspecialty certification in both neuroimaging (MRI and CT) by the United Counsel of Neurologic Subspecialties, and electrophysiology (EMG-NCV studies) through the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Because of this triple board certification (neurology, neuroimaging, and EMG-NCV testing), Dr. Gehret is uniquely qualified to evaluate patients with neurologic problems. Although Dr. Gehret has special interest in neuromuscular disease (including EMG and nerve conduction studies) and dementia, he treats most types of general neurology patients. Dr. Gehret does not do headache management. The EMG lab of Dr. Gehret is accredited with the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine with …exemplary status for quality reports (which is the highest level of accreditation recognized by the American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
