Dr. Hakimian graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a degree in
computer studies and earned his medical degree with honors from the University of
Illinois Medical School. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lutheran
General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL and subsequently completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Dr. Hakimian is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology and is active on the staffs of Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge and Holy Family Hospital In Des Plaines. He enjoys participating in the teaching program at Lutheran General and was named teaching attending of the year in 1994-1995. Dr Hakimian is a member of the American Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology.
Born in Highland Park, IL, Dr. Hakimian was raised and continues to live in Northbrook with his wife and …three children. He enjoys playing soccer and is active at Congregation Beth Shalom in Northbrook where he recently served as president.
