Dr. David H. McCord has worked for over two decades to provide innovative approaches for spine disorders to treat patients with back and neck pain.
Early in his career, Dr. McCord was involved in spine research and development that is now used worldwide. One of his early spine papers is still frequently referenced, and he currently has a pending patent on new instrumentation.
Dr. McCord solely brought Upright MRI technology to Middle Tennessee to advance diagnostic accuracy for those experiencing back and neck pain. Typical lie-down MRIs do not allow patients to be scanned in the position of greatest pain is it is worse sitting, standing, bending or walking. Sometimes diagnoses are totally missed or incomplete without Upright MRI scanning.
