Dr. Forster has been in practice with Northern Virginia Ophthalmology Associates since 1991. During this time, he has practiced general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and the subspecialty of uveitis (inflammatory diseases of the eye). He completed his residency training at Georgetown University, which was followed by a two-year fellowship in Uveitis and Ocular Immunology at the University of Southern California Doheny Eye Institute. During his years in practice in Northern Virginia, he has served as President of the Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology, and is also Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Georgetown University Medical School. He has authored numerous journal articles and textbook chapters in the field of ocular inflammatory disease. Dr. Forster is regularly included in Washingtonian’s list of Top Doctors for Northern Virginia.
