Dr. Weimer is an Adult Reconstruction specialist focusing on all aspects of hip and knee arthroplasty. Specific interests include minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, as well as complex hip and knee revision surgery.
Dr. Weimer received his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College, Meadville, P.A. in 1991. He received a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College, Buffalo, N.Y. in 1995 where he was the recipient of the Physical Therapy Academic Excellence Award. Dr. Weimer earned his M.D. Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2002. While in medical school he was elected into prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his orthopaedic residency training at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, Detroit, MI. in 2007. This was followed by a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at RUSH University Medical Center, Chicago, IL. and Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, IL. There he was trained in all aspects of hip …and knee revision surgery as well as minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Weimer is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association, and the Mahoning Valley Medical Society. Dr. Weimer is on staff at Northside Medical Center, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH. and at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, OH.
Dr. Weimer is currently accepting new patients at YOA’s Building B, 1499 Boardman-Canfield Road. Referrals from your primary care physician can be made by calling (330) 758-0577 Ext. 1148.
