Welcome to my Web page. I am very happy to be part of the Kaiser Permanente Pediatrics Department. I am fortunate to have such wonderful colleagues and patients.
Biography
I grew up in Southern California and am very grateful to my parents for the upbringing and opportunities they have given me. My first desire to help in the field of medicine was when I was in elementary school and my great-grandfather was diagnosed with arteriosclerosis. With pencil in hand, I wrote a letter to a national medical association suggesting two possible treatments. When I was in high school, one of my relatives was diagnosed with a childhood neurological disorder, and my concern eventually developed into a passion for helping children with medical problems and their families. I became a pediatrician to improve the quality of children’s lives.
About my practice
I am a developmental pediatrician specializing in areas such as attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity …disorder (ADHD), autism, and the development of infants and children who were born prematurely or had medical problems early in life. I work with the ADD/ADHD program, the autism team, and the high-risk infant follow-up clinic. It is important to me to help each child live to his or her highest potential. I try to treat each patient and his or her family with the same knowledge, skill, compassion, and understanding that I would like my family to be offered.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with friends and family. I sing and play musical instruments and especially enjoy playing the piano. I also like to be active, take walks, eat a well-balanced diet, and make the most of the life God gave me.
