Virtual Reality Therapy
Advances in science and technology have permeated medical field domains, and now the mental health discipline is getting a boost with virtual reality treatment. Exposure therapy was once done with mental images, computer graphics and physical objects but with the introduction of state-of-the-art VR Therapy an individual can be immersed in a three dimensional virtual environment in order to reduce their anxiety and stress. The environment combines vision, sound and movement to desensitize the individual to associated fears and phobias. Objective measures collected from biofeedback sensors as well as verbal subjective measures are recorded during each VR session in order to gauge progress of the individual.
Virtual Reality Therapy is scientifically proven to be effective. It is also a help tool for mindfulness and relaxation training. VR Therapy is easy to commence and matches the individual at their own pace. Please contact us today for a free consultation to get start on the improvements you would like to make to have a more fulfilling life. Note: Most insurance plans will cover VR Therapy.
