Desiree Ratner, MD, in New York City provides quality, patient-centered dermatological care to men and women of all ages at her practice in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood. Specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery, facial reconstruction, and cutaneous oncology, Dr. Ratner has more than 23 years of experience providing attentive care for patients. Dr. Ratner received her Bachelor of Arts from Brown University before going on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. From there, she completed an internship in micrographic surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center-Harvard Medical School and a residency in dermatology at the University of Michigan Medical Center. After finishing her residency, Dr. Ratner completed two fellowships in Mohs micrographic surgery, first at Tufts New England Medical Center and then at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, both in Boston. Dr. Ratner draws on her decades of knowledge and expertise to help every …patient she treats. She has served on various boards throughout her career, including the boards of directors of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons, among others. She is also certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has been included in New York Magazine’s best doctors list since 2009.
