Dr. Donald Jack Robertson, MD

Donald J. Robertson, M.D., P.A., was part of Southwestern Cardiovascular Surgical Associates from 1987 to 1991. He left briefly to work in San Angelo, Texas from 1991 to 1995, but returned to Lubbock and rejoined the group from 1995 to present. He grew up near Lubbock, in Plainview, Texas, and attended college at Texas Tech University, and he received his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Dr. Robertson completed his residency training in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Robertson is currently a member of the active staff at Lubbock Heart Hospital, University Medical Center and Covenant Health System. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Dr. Robertson is a former board member of the Southwest Medical I.P.A. His professional associations include Texas Medical Association, …Lubbock-Crosby-Garza Medical Society, and the Michael E. DeBakey International Cardiovascular Surgery Society. In 2008, Texas Monthly named Dr. Robertson as one of Texas’ Super Doctors.
