Dr. Donald Naum Tsynman, MD

Dr. Tsynman is a native New Yorker and joined GI Health in July 2014. Growing up in New York City, he graduated from Stuyvesant High School and went on to complete his undergraduate education at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Tsynman attended medical school at St. Matthew’s University at the Maine Medical Center, graduating first in his class with top honors and multiple academic accolades. He completed Internal Medicine training at the MCP Hahnemann Drexel University Hospital in Philadelphia. Thereafter, Dr. Tsynman received his training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York.Some of Dr. Tsynman’s prestigious awards include the Presidential Award from the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the national Fellowship2Leadership Grant. He has published articles in many top gastroenterology journals, including Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Gastroenterology Clinics of North America. Additionally, Dr. Tsynman …has worked closely with the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) to publish an online Nutrition Education module currently in use by training programs around the country. He continues to be active in cutting edge research and currently has leadership position at the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Tsynman speaks Russian and Spanish fluently. In his spare time, he enjoys adventure travel, spending time with his family and friends, and exploring his hometown of New York City.
