Dr. Douglas Alan Brewer, MD

A Warner Robins native, Dr. Brewer graduated from Northside High School in 1979. He graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, graduating with Honors in the top 5% of his class. Dr. Brewer’s post-graduate education includes five years of general surgery residency at the University of Louisville. He did a one year research and clinical fellowship as a surgical registrar and research fellow at the University of Sydney in Australia. He completed his training with a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts. Dr. Brewer is Vice President and President-elect of the Piedmont Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery
