Dr. Ellen Nicol

Ellie Nicol is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 6 years of experience working primarily with children and families. She believes in working in partnership with her clients to utilize their strengths to identify what they would like to address in therapy, as well as to achieve their goals. Ellie utilizes a variety of trauma-informed techniques drawn from her experience working primarily with clients who experience depression, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms. Ellie completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2016. She began her career working alongside children and families involved in the child welfare system in Illinois. Through this experience, she gained experience working with children and adults individually, as well as with families. Ellie utilizes mindfulness and strengths-based approaches with her clients, and believes in the partnership of the client and therapist working together to identify the client’s goals.
