Dr. Komarczyk is a board-eligible adult psychiatrist. She takes a special interest in developing the therapeutic alliance with each patient by providing an informative, encouraging, and holistic approach to mental health. At the heart of her practice is creating a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space that allows her to work collaboratively with her patients to help them achieve their goals. Her treatment plans include evidence-based medication management as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. At times, Dr. Komarczyk may believe that additional therapy can be helpful and incorporate a therapist into your care plan.
Dr. Komarczyk focuses on treating adult patients suffering from a diversity of disorders, including major depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and addiction. She takes a special interest in treating patients with OCD. Dr. …Komarczyk graduated valedictorian from Hawaii Pacific University, where she majored in biology/human health sciences. She completed her medical degree at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. During her time in medical school, she was heavily involved in research examining how horsemanship groundwork exercises in equine therapy can be used to improve medical students’ bedside manners. She went on to complete her residency training at Florida Atlantic University where she served as a chief resident. She received The Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award that recognizes outstanding humanistic teaching residents as identified by their medical students.
