Dr. Young has a long and broad experience as a hand and upper extremity surgeon, with expertise in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder problems. He has experience and expertise in diagnosing and treating the entire spectrum of traumatic and acquired upper extremity disorders, cumulative trauma and any other distal extremity pathology that you are likely to encounter.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Dr. Young has extensive experience in joint replacement surgery as well as arthroscopic and minimally-invasive surgery. He received his Bachelor%u2019s Degree in Biological Science from the University of Missouri and his M.D. Degree from St. Louis University. Dr. Young completed a surgical internship and his orthopedic residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He also completed an additional year-long fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Campbell Clinic/University of Tennessee which completed his training. Dr. Young is certified by the American …Board of Orthopedic Surgery and also holds an advanced Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Young is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a former Chairman of the Department of Surgery at McKee Medical Center. He is a member of the medical staff at McKee Medical Center, Loveland Surgery Center, Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies, and Harmony Ambulatory Surgery Center.
