Eric S. Friedman, M.D. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in genetics from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, graduating with distinction in 1984. He attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine obtaining a Doctorate of Medicine in 1988. An internship in general surgery followed in 1989. Dr. Friedman completed a neurological surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 1994. During his residency, he completed a neurology fellowship at Queens Square Hospital for Nervous Disorders in London, England. Dr Friedman is recognized for numerous presentations and publications regarding the nervous system.
Dr. Friedman is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He established practice with Neuroscience Specialist in 1994 where he specializes in diagnosis and treatment of the peripheral nerves, surgical treatment of the brain and spinal cord tumors and spine surgery. He holds professional memberships in the Oklahoma County …Medical Society, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons where he serves as a representative to the Joint Council of State Neurological Societies. Dr Friedman is a member of the Neurosurgical Coding Committee and chairs the annual Beyond Residency/Establishing a Practice Forum for neurosurgery residents.
