Dr. Ernest Upshur Conrad III, MD

Dr. Conrad, professor and vice-chair in the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, directs the Sarcoma Clinic at UW Medical Center and the Pediatric Bone Tumor Clinic at Children’s Hospital in Seattle. He is also medical director of the Northwest Tissue Center. He is an expert in treating bone and soft tissue tumors in children and adults, and in reconstruction and grafting for bone tumors. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University in Virginia and then his medical degree from the University of Virginia. His internship and residency were in New York City, where he was a resident in the Hospital for Special Surgery and Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital. He also completed two advanced-training fellowships: one in orthopaedic oncology at the University of Florida and one in pediatric orthopaedics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He is board-certified and practices at UW Medical Center, Children’s, and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
