Following his residency at Los Angeles County University of Southern California Women’s and Children’s Hospital, he started a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Children’s Hospital Orange County. He relocated and completed his fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center Washington, D.C. under the umbrella of the National Cancer Institute. He has diverse expertise in areas including cord blood transplant, hereditary angioedema and white cell diseases.
