Dr. Geoffrey Gladstone is certified by and a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). This indicates that he has specific training and expertise in this subspecialty. He is also certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Following his residency at Sinai hospital of Detroit, Dr. Gladstone served his fellowship training at the Illinois Eye and Ear Hospital and Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Gladstone has been in practice in the Detroit area since 1983. He is currently the co-Director of Oculoplastic Surgery at William Beaumont Hospita, Professor of Ophthalmology at Oakland University- William Beaumont School of Medicine, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University. He is also the author of numerous articles and book chapters. Currently he is affiliated with a number of hospitals including William Beaumont Hospital – …Royal Oak; Sinai – Detroit; St. John Hospital – Detroit Eastside; St. Joseph Mercy – Pontiac; Providence – Southfield; Macomb Hospital Center; as well as Genesys and Hurley Hospitals in the Flint area. Dr. Gladstone is interested in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and face. He has pioneered new methods of endoscopic surgery for tearing problems, and uses the most advanced endoscopic and laser techniques available.
