Dr. George Edwin Von Hilsheimer, MD

Dr. George vonHilsheimer, MD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who joined Gulf Coast Dermatology after finishing a more than 20-year Army career as Chief of Dermatology and Dermatologic surgery at Martin Army Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia. There, he earned the highest patient satisfaction ratings of any physician for four consecutive years.
Dr. vonHilsheimer completed his medical and dermatologic specialty training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, with additional medical and surgical training at Johns Hopkins University and the National Naval Medical Center. Dr. vonHilsheimer is a Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. He also teaches dermatology at the Emory University School of Medicine and the Uniformed Services University%u2019s School of Medicine, and is a frequent invited speaker at the Eglin AFB Family Medicine Residency Program.
