Dr. George M. Comas, MD

George M. Comas, MD, FACS, is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon with Ascension Medical Group. Dr. Comas is board certified in thoracic surgery. He is Clinical Assistant Professor at OU Health Department of Surgery. Dr. Comas performs all aspects of adult cardiac surgery including coronary artery bypassgrafting, valve replacement and repair, aortic surgery and surgery for atrial fibrillation. Other areas of expertise include complex aortic root surgery, aortic arch repair, and reoperativesurgery. He performs lung surgery (thoracoscopic and robotic) as well as surgery for benign and malignant diseases of the mediastinum. Dr. Comas specializes in minimally invasive surgery, having done hundreds of cases over the past 10 years.
