Dr. Gilbert “Gil” Selkin, M.D., D.M.D

Dr. Gilbert Selkin is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who specializes in surgery of the head, face, neck, and oral cavity as well as facial cosmetic surgery. After receiving his D.M.D. degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and his M.D. degree from Texas Tech University, he completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Oral and MaxilloFacial Surgery at the prestigious Baylor University Medical Center and Baylor College of Dentistry, where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Selkin practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has extensive training and expertise in extraction of wisdom teeth and impacted teeth, placement of dental implants, and surgical management of oral cysts and tumors of the jaws. Dr. Selkin was trained by one of the innovators in bone grafting techniques and has extensive experience with bone grafting procedures, and soft tissue surgery, including sinus lifts. Dr. Selkin has a particular interest …in oral pathology, head and neck pathology and facial trauma. He performs complex reconstruction of skin cancers including Mohs Facial reconstruction and traumatic injuries to the face (facial fractures and soft tissue injuries). With his in depth knowledge of facial anatomy and attention to detail he performs other facial cosmetic surgeries, including eyelid rejuvenation surgery (blepharoplasty), brow lift ,split earlobe repair, and Botox and dermal fillers (Restylane and Juvederm).
