Giri Vedula, MD, earned his medical degree from West Virginia University and completed his Surgical residency at West Virginia University. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from WVU and is board certified in General Surgery with Specialty training in Abdominal Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery. He completed his transplant and Hepatobiliary training in Columbia University in 2011. Dr. Vedula has been practicing medicine for 10 years. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Vedula supported a successful transplant program in Florida and was instrumental in restarting a multi-organ program in Denver CO. Dr. Vedula has held multiple leadership roles within the hospital and in the communities that he has served. Dr. Vedula specializes in multi-organ transplant and Hepatobiliary surgery. Dr Vedula has a special interest in treating Malignant and Benign diseases of the Liver, Pancreas and Biliary System. In his spare time, Dr. Vedula enjoys spending time with his family exploring …various cultures and cuisines. Dr. Vedula is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
