Dr. Young is a 1970 honors graduate of Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas and a 1974 graduate of University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. After residency in Family Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Carbondale, Illinois she entered the Air Force and was trained as a Flight Surgeon. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She retired in 1997 with the rank of Colonel. Dr. Young has been in Chester since 1999 and continues to be a FAA Medical Examiner and associate professor with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Dr. Young has recently married Gale Lee, another Air Force retiree. She has one son and one gorgeous granddaughter. Other interests include horses and the great Montana outdoors.
