In practice since 1994, Dr. Katzs clinical interests include general ophthalmology and glaucoma. He has published numerous papers and made professional presentations all over the world. Dr. Katzs decision to become a doctor was strongly influenced by several relatives who are doctors. He was amazed by the way in which these incredibly caring people helped patients through critical medical events. Dr. Katz had the opportunity to work at an eye hospital in India and perform surgery on hundreds of blind people, giving them the gift of sight. Undoubtedly, this was a very rewarding experience for him. Forest Health Medical Centers attention to patient care was very apparent to Dr. Katz from his first visit to the hospital. It was this patient-centered orientation that attracted him to become a member of the medical staff. He cites raising three fabulous children as his greatest achievement outside of work. Mountain climbing, ice climbing, trapeze and running are his most enjoyable …pursuits outside of work.
