Hi, and welcome to my Web page. Selecting a pediatrician for your child-one who will provide good clinical care in addition to addressing your child’s specific needs-is very important. I am happy to give you some information about myself and my practice that might help you in your decision-making process.
Biography
I have always loved children and, when I first considered pediatrics, I was not sure how I would be able to emotionally deal with the illnesses and pain would have to see in children. But when I did my pediatrics rotation in medical school, I knew that this was what I was meant to do. I grew up in India and came to the U.S. for further education. I trained in pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in New York.
About my practice
I enjoy my profession as a pediatrician, sharing with my patients their smiles and tears, laughter and sadness, and being able to help them and their parents. The “lighting up” of a young face when I walk …into the exam room, the proud whisper “that’s my doctor” to another child, and the spontaneous hugs from the children make me feel that what I am doing, however insignificant in the larger worldview, is worthwhile and meaningful. My passion is preventive medicine that will help our children grow up to be healthy adults of tomorrow.
How I thrive
Spending quality time with my family is always a priority for me. As a family, we have many special outings to the park, soccer fields, movies, plays, etc. Reading, traveling, and watching movies are some of my hobbies. Reading to my children at bedtime is a special time that I treasure. I believe in healthful eating and regular physical activity, and my family shares these values too.
