About
Dr. Herbert Harman found his calling while working with severely depressed patients as a medical student. “I was fascinated to see how quickly some of the patients responded to treatment. I went home at the end of the day with a full heart, and I knew psychiatry was where I belonged.”
Dr. Harman hopes his patients think of him as compassionate, reasonable in how he makes treatment recommendations and flexible in his thinking. ““I work very hard to understand what each patient values,” he said, “and I try to understand what the patient believes gives their life meaning.”
