Dr. Howard Lethel Askins, MD

Dr. Askins is Chief of Staff at Aurora Las Encinas Hospital. His outpatient practice is located in Pasadena. He obtained his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Dr. Askins completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the USC Institute of Psychiatry, Law and Behavioral Science after his psychiatric residency at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. Among other accomplishments, Dr. Askins has served as a commissioner on the Los Angeles County Mental Health Commission and was awarded a Rappaport Fellowship from the American Association of Psychiatry and the Law.
