Dr. Humberto Bohorquez received his medical degree from the Pontifical Xavierian University Faculty of Medicine in Bogot?°, Colombia. He completed his abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, and performed the Ong GB fellowship in liver living transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong. He worked in kidney and liver transplantation in his native city for several years previous to his appointment at Ochsner in 2007.
