My career has been within the academic world of neuromuscular disease and electrodiagnostic medicine. I serve as the Chief of the Neuromuscular Disorders Section of the Department of Neurology and as Director of the EMG Laboratory at UNC Hospitals and Director of the university’s Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic. My focus is in disorders of neuromuscular transmission including diagnosis, management and their immune abnormalities and in gene therapy and physiology of muscular dystrophy.
