Dr. Janine Coles Islam, MD

Dr. Janine Islam brings over 20 years of experience to Pain Recovery Center of Tyler by helping East Texas patients suffering from joint and muscle pain, as well as providing patients with cutting edge weight control programs and bioidentical hormone treatments. Dr. Islam’s experience in the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) specialized weight control program and the Age Management Medicine program of bioidentical hormones offers a unique opportunity to patients.
Dr. Islam is on the ADL (Approved Doctors List) level 2, allowing her to treat patients in accordance with the DWC (Division of Worker’s Compensation). She is also on the Designated Doctor list and is qualified to provide maximum medical improvement, impairment ratings, RME’s (Required Medical Exams) and IME’s (Independent Medical Exams) for injured workers.
Prior to joining our team, Dr. Islam followed her LSU summa cum laude microbiology and Tulane University School of Medicine graduations with her Internal Medicine …Internship at Delaware Medical Center. Leaving Delaware, Dr. Islam found her Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation calling at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
