Jeffrey W. Moses, MD, is a renowned interventional cardiologist and Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Moses serves as the Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Therapeutics at Columbia Interventional Cardiovascular Care and the Director of Advanced Cardiac Interventions at St Francis Hospital and Heart Center in Roslyn, NY.With a track record of over 18,000 interventional procedures, Dr. Moses is an accomplished researcher. He has served as a lead investigator for numerous national and international clinical studies and authored over 600 publications, many focusing on the effectiveness and safety of coronary stent placement. Notably, his pivotal role in a 2002 clinical trial resulted in the first U.S. FDA approval of a drug-coated stent, now widely used in American interventional procedures.Dr. Moses contributed to the Executive Committee of the PARTNER trial, which introduced the first transcatheter aortic valve for clinical use in the U.S. A …pioneer in various approaches, including minimally invasive surgery, angioplasty, gene therapy, and novel imaging technologies, he extends the application of interventional cardiovascular procedures. He is a fellow in multiple professional societies and serves on the editorial board as a reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Moses serves on the Board of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF); and continues to make formidable contributions in the areas of clinical research and educational activities in interventional vascular therapy. Before his tenure at Columbia, Dr. Moses held a professorship in Clinical Medicine at New York University School of Medicine. He also played key roles at The New York Hospital (now NewYork-Presbyterian), where he served as the Associate Director of the Adult Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Director of Clinical Electrophysiology.Dr. Moses completed medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and his internship, residency, and fellowship in Cardiology at the Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.
