Dr. John Calcatera, DPM

In 1981, Dr. Calcatera graduated summa cum laude from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his podiatric surgical residency in Chicago at Franklin Community Hospital.
Immediately after his surgical residency, he practiced in Burlington, Vermont for a period of six years. During his career in Vermont, he served as the President of Vermont Podiatric Medical Association and as a member of the Vermont State Medical Board.
Dr. Calcatera relocated to Birmingham, Alabama in 1984. He has served as the President of the Alabama Podiatric Medical Association and also as a member of the Alabama State Board of Podiatry.
Dr. Calcatera is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is currently the Chief of Podiatry at Brookwood Medical Center.
