A native of Georgia, J. Maxwell White, Jr., M.D. earned his Bachelor of Science degree, graduating summa cum laude, from Emory University in 1973 and earned his medical degree from Emory University in 1977.He completed his internship in Surgery and residency in Urology at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California in 1983 and served as a medical officer in the U.S. Navy. From 1986 to 1990, Dr. White was an Assistant Professor in the Division of Urology at Emory and entered private practice at Piedmont in 1991. Dr. White has amateur and professional experience as a guitarist and enjoys playing golf. He has always been a firm believer that patients deserve to receive a clear understanding of their health issues as well as the current methods of resolving their health problems and concerns from their physicians. Dr. White welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
