Dr. John T. Burdine graduated from the University of Texas in 1966 with a B.S. in chemistry and from the Houston Dental Branch in 1970 with a D.D.S degree. He attended the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, graduating in 1974 with a Master of Science degree in dentistry and a certificate in periodontics. Dr. Burdine is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology and has been in private practice for over 30 years and since 1988 has served on the faculty of the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Burdine has lectured nationally and internationally on periodontics and has contributed to dental and medical research. He is currently involved in research at the Dental Branch along with his teaching. He belongs to and is an active member of numerous professional organizations
