Dr. Muccini is a Board Certified Dermatologist with over 20 years of experience in medical and surgical dermatology. His expertise ranges from routine skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and simple keratoses to the most complex skin diseases such as skin cancer, toxic skin reactions and paraneoplastic conditions.
Complementing his proficiency in medical and surgical dermatology, Dr. Muccini also offers a wide and expanding array of traditional cosmetic dermatology products and services, including Botox, Latisse, Juvederm, Obagi, Laser Treatments and many others. He is also one of only two physicians in the St. Louis area currently offering the new and innovative non-surgical Ulthera Ultrasonic Skin Tightening procedure.
Dr. Muccini has been active in the development and utilization of technologies and techniques to evaluate human skin%u2014both its pathologies and cosmetic characteristics, and has authored numerous articles over the years about these efforts. He graduated …Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor%u2019s Degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University, where he also tutored chemistry, physics, and the classics. Four years later, after receiving his medical degree from Columbia University in New York, Dr. Muccini returned to Boston and Harvard University for postgraduate medical training. During this time, he trained at all of the major Harvard teaching hospitals, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women%u2019s Hospital, Boston Children%u2019s Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital and Deaconess Hospital; and he completed an internship in General Surgery, a fellowship and residency in Dermatology, and a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Muccini is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), the Missouri Dermatological Society, and the American Medical Association (AMA). He is also a member of the St. Louis Dermatological Society and serves as the organization%u2019s president.
