Katie Goldhair, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery and all forms and stages of glaucoma treatment. Dr. Goldhair is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American Medical Association. After receiving her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee, Dr. Goldhair spent her ophthalmology residency at the University of Mississippi and completed her glaucoma fellowship at the Louisiana State University Ochsner Medical Center. Dr. Goldhair’s strong passion for helping people and medicine began as a clinic assistant, which eventually led her to pursue her own ophthalmology career. She served as the Attending Physician of Ophthalmology at the VA Medical Center in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. When she is not busy treating patients, Dr. Goldhair enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and running. In 2012, she completed the St. Jude half marathon as a St. Jude Hero.
