My main job at Florida TMS Clinic is to guide you in finding your way out of depression. Many patients reaching out to Florida TMS Clinic had lost hope that the next thing could work. Most patients who are considering TMS have already been through many medications. Many of them had seen multiple providers. This includes family doctors, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other psychiatrists. Therefore, you deserve the extra attention to earn your trust. For this reason, I will introduce myself and tell you about my credentials. Please don’t take this page as a “bragging rights” page. I am hoping that this could put you at ease knowing that you are in good hands.My BackgroundI graduated from medical school in 2010. I did my residency training at WVU-Charleston in two specialties; Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. I particularly chose to do a …combined residency training in both medicine and psychiatry to better understand the direct connection between mental and physical health. There are only about 10 such intensive integrated residency programs in the United States. All together produce only about 20 dual-trained physicians. This makes doctors with such integrative training particularly unique. More importantly, it helps me see your unique circumstance better. During my years of experience, I received many awards and took many leadership positions. I received the Outstanding Educator Award for excellence in clinical teaching. I served as the chief resident physician for medicine/psychiatry and categorical psychiatry taking both leadership positions at once. After I finished residency training, I worked as a staff physician for the same hospital system. I also served as a clinical instructor for the medicine and psychiatry clinic training other physicians and teaching medical students. I also served as a physician council member-elect. I worked as an inpatient psychiatrist at the Medical Center of Trinity in Florida. I did my fellowship TMS training at Duke University in 2019. I started Florida TMS Clinic shortly after with the goal of bringing the most advanced TMS technology to Wesley Chapel and the Tampa Bay Area. I am currently double board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. I’m a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Clinical TMS Society. My Approach & Future GoalsI approach your care with a balanced mindset. You are unique in your own circumstances. Your treatment plan should be individualized accordingly. I aim to provide the best TMS therapy to my patients using the latest TMS medical technology.
