I will help you explore these factors in a non-judgmental way to assist in your improvement. There are many degrees and varieties of mental health as well as illness. Assistance or treatment, therefore has to be individualized.
Parenting is one of the most important roles. It is very challenging, but usually quite rewarding. Any type of illness or disability in a child can have the potential to be overwhelming to the parent and push a couple to its limits. I enjoy working together with individuals, children and families to assist in identifying solutions. Initially I evaluate many factors that contribute to the presenting problem. These include sleep, diet, exercise, medical conditions, personality issues, and substances. The treatment plan can include any combination of psychotherapy, …medication, guidance on lifestyle changes, among other things. I look forward to working together with you.
