Dr. Leo Martin Keegan, MD

Celebrated for his groundbreaking results as a cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Leo Keegan co-founded 5th Avenue Millennium Aesthetic Surgery in 1997. Though Dr. Keegan has extensive experience with a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive techniques, he is particularly renowned for his work in endoscopic plastic surgery, breast reconstruction, body contour surgery, and facial plastic surgery. During his 15 years as a practicing surgeon, Dr. Keegan has developed a loyal following of patients who admire his flexibility and commitment to patient education, as well as his incomparable surgical results.
Dr. Keegan%u2019s breadth and depth of training is unsurpassed among plastic surgeons. After earning his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Keegan completed eight years of post-doctoral work in general surgery, plastic surgery, and microsurgery before entering private practice. Like Dr. Vickery, Dr. Keegan is among a select group of doctors who are …board-certified in both general surgery and plastic surgery, in addition to earning a specialization in microsurgery.
Fifteen years after completing his post-doctoral work, Dr. Keegan remains at the forefront of new developments in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Along with Dr. Vickery, he is part of New York%u2019s longest-tenured microsurgical team, and his experience and flexibility allow him to create outstanding customizations for his patients. Dr. Keegan has made substantial contributions to dozens of medical research studies during his career, and he maintains an academic appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
Throughout his career, Dr. Keegan has maintained a keen interest in medical missions. He has volunteered with medical students in Honduras, and served as Medical Director for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
