Dr. Leonard Bruce Nelson, MD

Dr. Leonard B. Nelson has over 20 years experience in Pediatric Ophthalmology, treating patients with Strabismus and Ocular diseases. Dr. Nelson, a board certified ophthalmologist, is a staff member at several area hospitals including Wills Eye Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, Lankenau Hospital and also serves as Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
Dr Nelson graduated from the Columbia University and Harvard Medical School. He completed an internship and residency in Ophthalmology at Bellevue Hospital Medical Center in New York. Dr. Nelson completed two fellowships at Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. and the other in Ocular Genetics at Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
Dr. Nelson received his Master of Business Administration in 2000 from St. Joseph’s University. Dr. Nelson has a number of publications. He is a member of many local and national professional societies, including the American Academy of …Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
