I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of clinical experience. I have an eclectic therapeutic approach and utilize various evidence-based treatment modalities to assist my clients in meeting their potential. I meet my clients where they are and together, we explore realistic action steps that assist in positive change. We all have barriers that can interfere with our hopes and aspirations; such as losses and trauma. I believe in a strength-based approach to help clients resolve issues that keep them from meeting their potential. In addition to seeing clients in my private practice, I have taught social work in six universities on the graduate and undergraduate level. I have spent the last twenty years as a professor at American University, School of Public Affairs, in the District of Columbia.
