Dr. Lofton Misick is BOARD CERTIFIED in General Surgery & Thoracic Surgery and started his distinguished 33-year career with a degree in Bachelor of Science from Howard University, followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Washington. He continued his formal training holding residencies at Barnes Hospital, Medical College of Virginia, Hanover Regional Medical Center, and served as Chief Resident of General Surgery at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Lofton Misick’s unique approach to Vascular Disease stems from his experience as a successful Cardiothoracic Surgeon where he specialized in surgical procedures of the heart, lungs, and other organs. As his career has developed, Dr. Misick found his calling in preventing amputations using his wide range of intricate knowledge of how our body extremities are intertwined with the vascular system. It is this passion that makes him a highly qualified and sought-after surgeon for helping those who are facing …the possibility of amputations due to vascular disease. Dr. Misick is exclusively dedicated to preventing amputation by targeting treatment options aggressively, but carefully to spare tissue, repair damage, and help maintain and restore function in limbs that would other wise have to be amputated.
