A member of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Scripps Clinic, Dr. Pacelli received his medial degree from the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences and his undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of California San Diego. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland and a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at The Hand Center of San Antonio in Texas. Dr. Pacelli has received numerous academic awards and honors including the Outstanding Orthopaedic Resident Award and the Orthopaedic Chief Resident Research Award from Oregon Health Sciences University. He has published articles in medical journals and presented at medical conferences on a number of topics including tibial fractures, ankle instability, and hand and wrist injuries. Dr. Pacelli is currently conducting research on wrist fusions. His interests are in hand and elbow surgery and micro …vascular surgery.
