Dr. Mahan Chehrenama, DO

Dr. Mahan Chehrenama is a specialty care physician board certified in Neurology as well as Headache Medicine. She joins Inova Medical Group with over 20 years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in the management of chronic primary headaches as well as post-traumatic and post-concussive headaches. Most recently Dr. Chehrenama served as a board member for safety of use of therapeutic neuro-toxins in adolescents and teenagers. Dr. Chehrenama became interested in neurology because of its logical and methodical scientific approach, combined with the art of healing in a field that is yet to be fully understood. Her goal is to help her patients better understand their own role in management of chronic and complex neurologic issues, and to arm them with the knowledge required to make the best medical and neurologic choices. Dr. Chehrenama currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two teenagers. In her spare time she likes to hike and do Tai Chi as well …as yoga.
