Dr. Mark J. Cannon was raised in Northwest Indiana, near Chicago. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington and graduated with a degree in Biology and Psychology.
Between undergrad and optometry school, Dr. Mark worked as a fisheries biologist in Alaska with the National Marine Fisheries Service, as a backpacking guide for troubled teens in Utah, and then as a microbiologist at Baxter Pharmaceuticals.
He attended Indiana University’s School of Optometry. During school, he served on mission trips to Guanajuato, Mexico and started a school cycling team that raised thousands of dollars for charity. He was also honored with a Dean Scholar’s Award that led to years of ophthalmic research while in school.
Dr. Mark has been honored in 2022, ’23, and ’24 as one of Seattle’s Three Top Rated eye doctors. He has a special interest in dry eye and eyelid diseases. He is also passionate about racing mountain and gravel bikes
Cannon EyeCare is a high end optometry practice that is …accepting new patients. We can handle just about any eye issue, but most patients are in for contact lens fittings, a glasses Rx, and/or dry eye management. Run by a husband and wife team from Indiana, this is a true family business. It is our goal to provide the best eye exams in Seattle, and we love working with kids age 5+ who know their letters.
