Dr. Mary Catherine Aranda, MD

Katie Aranda, MD, at WK Children’s Health Specialists, is a pediatrician whose specialty is working with children who have developmental or behavioral delays. Her focus is children under four years of age who have autism spectrum disorder or developmental delays related to prematurity, genetics or chronic illness. She also works with children who have ADHD, learning disabilities, trauma, injury and adoption. Upon evaluation of a child’s abilities, Dr. Aranda’s passion is to help these children and their parents get a proper diagnosis that leads to needed therapies and medical interventions. She values being part of a comprehensive team that serves each child’s needs.
A mother of four children, two of whom are adopted; a lifetime of moving around the world as an Army child and Air Force veteran; plus years of specialized training all give Dr. Aranda insight into the needs of this vulnerable population. She received a BA degree in biology from the University of …Virginia, followed by an MD degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. Her pediatric residency was at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. She completed a three-year developmental-behavioral pediatrics fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington state. Dr. Aranda is a board-certified developmental-behavioral pediatrician certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Aranda is married and has four children; two are adopted. She homeschools her children with the group Catholic Schoolhouse. In her spare time, she enjoys nature walks, reading, music, theater and spending time with her family, friends and church community.
