Dr. Maxine Arlene Theriot, MD

Born in Jamaica, West Indies and raised in both the Bahamas and Lincoln, Nebraska, Dr. Maxine A. Theriot has called Texas home for the past 30 years. She is a board certified physician both in Family Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. After graduating from the prestigious Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1994, Dr. Theriot practiced Family Medicine in the Dallas, TX area for 14 years. In 2007 Dr. Theriot became the Medical Director of the Trinity Mother Frances Wound Care Center in Tyler, TX. The center prospered under her leadership and obtained accreditation of the hyperbaric center with the classification of distinction by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), which is recognized by Joint Commission as an accrediting entity. In 2011, Dr. Theriot founded North Texas Professional Wound Care Associates and was asked to join the Baylor Medical Center at Irving team as Medical Director of the Comprehensive Wound Center. She is a Fellow of the …American Professional Wound Care Association specializing in wound care and is experienced in the treatment of complex and hard-to-heal wounds. Dr. Theriot is often called upon for lectures, news articles, and television appearances to discuss wound care and the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. In her spare time she loves training for marathons and completed her firt one in December 2012.
