Dr. Michael J. Maughon Jr., MD

Michael Maughon, Jr., M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with Orthopaedic Associates of the Lakelands, a physician practice of Self Regional Healthcare. Dr. Maughon received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C., and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He completed his residency at Greenville Health System in Greenville, S.C., and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Ga. Dr. Maughon is a naval veteran and served our country as an orthopedic surgeon in Kandahar, Afghanistan, most recently serving at the Beaufort Naval hospital in Beaufort, S.C. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and being on the water.
